- かんぺいしゃ【官幣社】(1)「延喜式」神名帳記載の神社のうち， 神祇官より幣帛を奉献した神社。 大小の別がある。 官社。 式社。 式内社。(2)明治になって制定された社格の一つで， 宮内省より幣帛を奉献した神社。 大・中・小および別格の四段階に分けられていた。 皇室崇拝の神社や， 天皇・皇族・功臣をまつる神社が多い。 第二次大戦後廃止。 官社。→ 社格
